Understanding diamond ratios is important, as they reflect how perfect the diamond’s shape is. Width to Length ratio indicates how square or rectangular a diamond is and is only irrelevant to the round brilliant diamond. For all other diamond shapes, ratio affects the beauty of the stone. To obtain an accurate ratio for any given diamond, simply divide the length by the width. See the chart below for our ratio recommendations for each diamond shape
